Swing Asheville is a community-run organization.

Emily Coleman

Occasionally, Emily will just appear on top of skyscrapers (or at swing dances) in a puff of purple smoke. Usually, before the news cameras get rolling, she's gone again.  So if you've had a rare Emily sighting, record it. We can't tell you what Emily does... its top secret!

Isabelle Guzman

Web:isabelleguzman.com

Isabelle fell in love with Lindy Hop in the fall of 2009. Accepting her fate as a late bloomer, she is currently in training for the 2030 Senior Jack and Jill Championships. She enjoys popping and locking and has been described by her peers as having some "serious crunk moves". Excited to be a freshman on the board of Swing Asheville, Isabelle hopes to inspire others in the midst of existential crisis to think less and dance more. Rachel Feece

Rachel was bitten by the dance bug December of 2008 in the wonderful city of Charleston. Since then she has not stopped traveling to dance. She has been seen dancing in Philly all the way down to Atlanta. If there is a great dance to be had on the east coast she will try her hardest to be there.

Eva Millwood

Email:danceswitheva at gmail dot com

Eva stumbled into Lindy Hop on a whim in 2001, and her world has been expanding ever since. She taught and danced with the Knoxville Swing Dance Association before settling in Asheville in 2008.

She teaches the Intermediate and Advanced Lindy Hop classes and private lessons with her admirable and inspiring dance partner, Ben Lieb. She uses her background in science communication to strip dance down to its component parts, polish 'em up, and put them together in a way that makes sense to everyone and is a whole lotta fun. Lindy Hop is her first love, but Balboa, collegiate shag, blues and Charleston are nipping at its heels.

When she's not dancing, Eva's usually trying to coerce someone into her  kitchen to be fed or working around her homestead with her terrific but non-dancing husband, Thomas.

Benjamin Lieb

Email:benlieb [at] pixelearth [dot] net
Web:pixelearth.net

Ben Lieb has been Lindy Hopping since 1999, and social dancing since 1995, and has found it to be one of the most rewarding things ever. Hands down.

Ben teaches with his lovely and talented dance partner Eva Millwood. With a masters degree in Education, and years of experience teaching French, Spanish, and English, Ben enjoys teaching the Intermediate and Advanced Lindy Hop classes in a style that favors "drill time" and minimizes "teacher talk time".

Ben has also studied tap dance, modern and Appalachian clogging, Appalachian flatfooting, French Canadian step dance, Irish step dance, Waltz, Salsa, Tango, Balboa, and several other dance forms too embarrassing to mention. He also spends a good chunk of his time as the web developer for iDance.net, where cats and chicks can learn all manner of fun dance stuff.
